Sharjah Cricket Stadium enters the Guinness Book


The Sharjah Cricket Stadium joined the Guinness Book of Records, the world's most important reference book, after the number of international matches per day hosted 200 matches, which was not achieved by any other stadium and Pakistan super league teams 2018 has been announced.

The achievement adds value as it comes in line with the stadium's readiness to host teams from Pakistan and Sri Lanka in a series of trial matches starting Nov. 3 to track a one-day international match on Nov. 20.

The stadium, known as the "Cricket Oasis", has seen a lot of exciting matches that have been spectacular for the world's brightest players who have become part of the legacy of the game.

The new Guinness number comes at a time when the popularity of cricket in Sharjah is growing to underscore the emirate's passion and interest in the sport.

Abdul Rahman Bukhater, who built the giant cricket stadium in Sharjah, said he was proud to enter the Guinness World Records, which is an incentive to make every effort to achieve new records in the future.


He added that the number of Jens is a tribute to the contributions of all those who helped in the success of the matches held at the Sharjah Cricket Ground. It is also a pride for the UAE, especially for local cricket fans.
